A first timer here as well. The place really gives you visions of seafood and the sea and what the sea has to offer to all of us. The table setting reminded me of picnics for some reason I can’t possibly explain. This is the place to eat your seafood served in a pan. How nice is that huh? Something different once in a while, perhaps?

Being a very indecisive person, I couldnt make up my mind on what to order. There are a variety of food to choose from. Initially I wanted to order a pasta cooked carbonara style but when I made my order, the waiter told me that currently that pasta is not available. That was quite a turn-off. I made my point that if something isn’t available in the menu for a short amount of time - it would be best to inform the customers when you seat them down or when you hand them the menu. Nevertheless, that was the only downfall on that day. Everything else was great.

So basically my friends & I ended up with the regular style Fish & Chips & New York style Fish & Chips which cost around RM11 & RM 13 (I think)(the NY style is slightly more expensive) after tax & drink & a bowl of soup. The soup on that day was mushroom soup. Why is it so cheap is because when you order such a meal - you get a choice of adding a fizzy drink (only 2 choices to choose from) plus a bowl of soup while only adding a few ringgit on top of it. The drinks both my friend chose was the Passion Fruit - fizzy but the sweetness is not overpowering. Very refreshing indeed.

As for me I, skip drinks and only ordered sky juice (on the house) to wash down what I ate for lunch. The difference between the regular style and the NY style is that the NY style comes with fish fillet cooked with cheese stuffing. So cheesyummylicious! The fish is soft and the cheese melts in your mouth. The fillet is definitely fresh. It the best fish & chips I’ve had in my life so far. I did not try the tartar sauce though because I like my plain and original. The portion of the food is huge for a not so big eater like me. But even my friends who eat a lot were rather stuffed with just their own set. You can choose to have their rice or chips to go with you fish fillet. The chips are not oily - that I must say is good. The rice - I only had a scoop but it is just nice and it gives you a great opening to start your meal.

As for the soup - creamy in a right consistency. Just the way I like it. However, if you’re not a fan of garlic -you might not fancy the soup as it has quite “above mild” garlic fragrance and after-taste.

I must say that I will definitely come back here again to eat. Most probably I will bring my family next time round and see what they think. I’m sure they would share the same satisfaction my friends & I had. The next time I’m going, I will try the pastas and add another review on them.
